I have a hat. A tan suede fedora which I wear anytime I think it might
rain, and, well... I live in Portland. I have gotten many compliments on
this hat, ranging from "nice skypiece" said straightfowardly, to someone
passing my hat on a bus, backing up several steps, then commenting how
much they liked it, to someone who passed right by me, and apparently
without even glancing back, called out, "nice hat". I also passed two
women dining outside who glanced up at me and asked if they could have my
hat. I explained that I needed it to stop the rain - when they said it
wasn't raining, I explained that it was therefore working...
